Stunning Grey Mare's Tail Waterfall | Kinlochleven, Scotland

The Grey Mare's Tail Waterfall in Kinlochleven has a remarkable cascade dropping the Allt Coire na Ba 50 metres into a gorge. I took this photo midsummer whilst my family explored the wider gorge there is something for everyone here! I was drawn to the lower section where the cascading flow contrasts beautifully against the surrounding darkness. I was especially drawn to the subtle hints of copper in the rocks, adding warmth to the scene. This image was one of three from my portfolio commended in the 2022 Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards.
