Framing FAQ

  • The frames are made in Germany from sustainably managed forests that meet the criteria of the Forest Stewardship Council. The Oak frames are solid wood from FSC®-certified sources with an Oak veneer.

  • The largest frame option offered via Drop-Ship is A2. Any sizes larger than this are typically just too large to ship effectively and safe from damage. If a larger framed print is required, it is possible, but please use my contact page to enquire and we’ll explore the practicality and costs associated together before deciding whether a local framer would be the best option for you here.

  • Yes, all prints are available for custom framing and mounting combinations. However, it’s not possible to list all options, so please use my contact page to enquire about a bespoke combination.

  • Yes, depending on the Photographic composition some of the images are suitable for a cropped square format. Please use my contact page to enquire about a bespoke square custom framing and mounting combination.

  • Yes, however these are not standard with Drop-ship and require bespoke ordering, please use my contact page to enquire providing the size, frame type and wood type desired and I will happily provide you with a quote associated to your vision.

  • Artwork on paper ideally needs to be mounted clearly away from the glass of the frame to allow air movement and circulation.

  • Drop-ship frame windows are made of edge-ground float glass with a UV filter of approx 45%.

    With custom orders there is the additional option to use non reflective glass. This glass is produced with a multi-layered coating including coatings to reduced glare / reflection for optimal colour transmission and image clarity and coatings containing UV protection.

    Tray options using C-Type Fuji Matt has a Maximum print size (short edge) of 50".

    Standard, Box & Floating options using Giclee Hahnemuhle Photo Rag has a Maximum print size (short edge) 59.5".

Packaging FAQ

  • All smaller prints will be delivered in a plain cardboard envelope. The print will be inside a protective sleeve and backed by a stiffer card.

    Larger fine art prints are carefully covered with recyclable tissue paper, eliminating the danger of any scratches or folds. Your order is then placed into a robust 100% sustainably sourced recyclable cardboard envelope or tube.

  • All framed prints will be packaged in a larger recyclable cardboard box. Frame edge protectors are applied, everything is wrapped in bubble wrap and secured to the inside of the box.

I'm conscious of striking the balance between delivering your order beautifully, while avoiding the environmental cost of wasteful packaging. Your order will arrive in totally plain, but super sturdy, recyclable envelopes and tubes, which you can reuse later.

    • Standard shipping is free on all UK orders.

    • Unframed art prints are usually dispatched in 2 working days.

    • Framed prints are made to order. Days to delivery 6-10 working days.

    • Orders consisting of multiple different items may be dispatched separately.

    • Please note all times are on a best endeavour basis.

    • The Print Space deliver fine art printing, mounting & framing internationally. With production in the UK, USA & Germany, they guarantee no extra customs charges on UK-EU-USA print-only or drop shipped framed orders.

    • Customs duties may apply to bespoke custom requested hand made frames or bespoke mounting requested via my contact form when being delivered into the EU.

    • Shipping is free for worldwide orders over £150, and £15 for orders under £150.  

    • Delivery for international orders is 10 - 15 working days.

    • Orders consisting of multiple different items may be dispatched separately.

    • Please note all times are on a best endeavour basis..

    • Depending on the product ordered, international shipments may be subject to customs delays and import fees. If your order does not arrive in the recommended timeframe please contact me.

    • International standard mail is tracked and signed but can sometimes be subject to delays. Express shipping options are available at extra cost. To guarantee fast international shipping, please choose 'Express Courier' at checkout. 

    • We have a 30-day return policy for prints up to A2.

    • If your order has arrived damaged or faulty, please get in touch through the Contact page.

    • International customers will have to cover the cost of their return.

  • If your artwork arrives damaged, please let us know straight away through the Contact page.

    A photo might be requested, however you will then be asked to return the item free of charge, and a replacement will be sent right away.
