The staircase - Poetry of Perspective

The staircase at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library in DC . Architecture often hides moments of unexpected beauty. Here, I loved the lines and curves of the staircase; paired with strong contrasts of light and dark it becomes a striking composition, where the geometry and light invite the eye deeper and deeper into the frame. Converted to black and white so that the form overrides any distractions from colour.
